High Batts

On Sunday I visited High Batts nature reserve, which is located a couple of miles north of Ripon.

High Batts is a private nature reserve, membership costs £11 for the year and a further £3 for a key to unlock the gate at the entrance to the reserve and to access the hides.

Todays visit was proving to be quite quiet until I visited the second hide, were I was treated to a 15/20 minute display from the 2 Kingfisher parents chasing off the 2 Kingfisher juveniles. I have attached my sitings list and some photos of Great Spotted Woodpecker as well one of the juvenile Kingfishers.
