TREE SPARROW

The Tree Sparrow is a small streaky brown bird which is far less common than the similar House Sparrow.  It has a brown cap on its head with a black and white head.  The underside is a greyish white and its back and wings are brown and black stripes.  There are 60,000 pairs in the UK and they can be found in woods, farmland and waterside thickets.  This bird is a regular visitor to the feeders in our garden.
