ROBIN

Officially the national bird of the UK, the Robin is the most familiar garden bird found right across the country.  The Robin has a bright red/orange face and breast with a dark grey back, wings, tails and cap on the head.  The juvenile Robin is distinctively different colours, it has no red and a dotted head, breast and back and is brown in colour.  The Robin is a very common bird and there are an estimated 5.5 million birds breeding in the UK and always makes for a good photo with it being a very friendly and approachable bird.
