REDSTART

The Redstart is a slim Robin-like bird.  The male has a white forehead, black throat and face, bluish grey back with a rufous red breast and a rusty-orange tail.  The Redstart will breed in old oak woodland, stone walls and, like I saw at RSPB Ynys-hir, old woodpecker nests.  There are currently 100,000 pairs in the UK between April and October, but this number is declining.
