MEADOW PIPIT

The Meadow Pipit is a small brown and creamy white streaky bird with orange-pink legs that walks on the ground and can be seen on heaths, bogs, moors and in winter more on lowland, fields and marshes with an estimated 1.7 million pairs resident in the UK.  I have seen this bird at RSPB Minsmere and RSPB Saltholme.

Length: 14.5cm (5¾in)

Wingspan: 22-25cm (9-10in)

Weight: 16-25g (½-¾oz)

Average Life: 5 years
