MARSH TIT

Often confused with the Willow Tit as they look fairly similar.  The Marsh Tit has a black cap and white face, dark grey back with a creamy white breast.  The Marsh Tit can be found in mature woodland, hedgerows, old gardens and comes to feeders, as it does come to the feeders in our garden.  There are an estimated 53,000 pairs in the UK although this number is currently in decline.  I nearly always see the Marsh Tit at High Batts Nature Reserve near Ripon.
