The Greylag is a large goose in the waterfowl family and has barred grey and white plumage with an orange beak and pink legs.  The Greylag can be found in meadows, farmland, lakes and gravel pits and there are currently an estimated 46,000 breeding in the UK with the population rising to 225,000 in the winter months.

Weight: 2.9-3.7kg (6½-8¼lb)

Average Life: 15-20 years
