GADWALL
The Gadwall is a common dabbling duck found throughout most parts of England and some parts of Scotland & Wales. The male is grey, black and beige patterned when seen close up, although can look quite dull at a distance. The female is similar to the female Mallard apart from an orange beak and a white patch near the rear. There are currently at least 100,000 pairs resident in the UK.
